Agassiz, Geneva, Switzerland, 16 jewels, stem wind and lever set, damascened, nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings and gold timing screws in a 14 karat, yellow gold, intricately engraved and with black enamel hunting case, with Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, serial #27914, 42mm, 69.3g TW, c1880.
CONDITION:
CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Minor scratches and loss to enamel; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Specks of dirt / dust; A few minor scratches, otherwise very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate, screwdriver marks around center jewel; Nickel finish on plates hazy with one very clean, bright spot; One bridge screw replaced; Pallet bridge screw broken; Center jewel screw broken; Center jewel setting marred; Minor scratches on winding wheels: Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Not running, good staff, fully wound, needs service.
